New Program – New Employee

Health is an extremely important topic, especially for people with intellectual disabilities. For this reason, Special Olympics is now building up the “Health” area, pursuing the goal of improving the physical and socio-emotional well-being of people with intellectual disabilities and promoting their inclusion in health, wellness, and care systems. To dedicate ourselves intensively to this topic, a part-time position has been created. Romain Fardel will now build up and lead this area with a view to the World Winter Games 2029. A healthy lifestyle is central to the life of the athletic West Swiss: “Sport means an incredible amount to me. I grew up with it, and it is a matter close to my heart to share values such as tolerance, openness, fairness in competition, and striving for the best.”
