Kurt Hartmeier Receives Kiwanis Award for His Dedication to People with Disabilities

On the occasion of the annual Kiwanis Convention, which took place in Eastern Switzerland at the beginning of September, Kurt Hartmeier Stamm was honored for his commitment to people with disabilities.

He received the Kiwanis Prize in 2025 as a sign of appreciation for establishing Special Curling in 2015 on his own initiative, a training and competition program for people with intellectual disabilities. With unparalleled dedication, he not only established this sport, but has now even raised it to a Special Olympics level.

We congratulate Kurt Hartmeier on this well-deserved honor.
