Excellent competition conditions on the Hoch-Ybrig
Earlier in the week, it became clear that due to the low snow levels, it would be too difficult to create classic cross-country trails for the Special Olympics competition. So we moved our cross-country competition to Hoch-Ybrig.
We were welcomed with open arms by Hoch-Ybrig AG and the Bärghus restaurant. All our wishes and concerns were generously fulfilled. We thank everyone for their exemplary support and warm hospitality. It was clear that we had to adapt our competition to the conditions on the Hoch-Ybrig. Thanks to the well-coordinated team of helpers, the competition ran smoothly. The transport of materials by the helpful staff greatly facilitated our work. Even Petrus worked for us. It remained quite sunny throughout the competition. 27 athletes competed for medals on the perfect trails, supported by their caregivers and family members. There was a warm and cheerful atmosphere. After the award ceremony in Bärghus, everyone happily headed down the valley.
The Hoch-Ybrig will remain in the best memory of everyone. We will definitely keep the Hoch Ybrig as an alternative.
