Short Track in Innsbruck with Swiss participation

The two Short Track athletes Mauro Di Nardo and Fabian Höhener from Eisclub Chur gained valuable competition experience at the Austrian Short Track Championships in OlympiaWorld Innsbruck, organized by Special Olympics Tyrol. It was Mauro’s first Short Track appearance, while Fabian already had international experience from the World Winter Games in Turin.

The field of participants included athletes from five countries. After the divisionings in the morning, both athletes showed strong performances in the final runs. Mauro was delighted to win a silver and two bronze medals, Fabian won gold over 333 and 500 meters and reached third place in the final over 777 meters.

The event was convincing not only in terms of sports, but also due to a warm atmosphere and a successful setting. Special thanks to the organizers for this all-round successful competition.
