Athletes in the Spotlight
Former Snowboarding Olympic champion Iouri Podladtchikov portrayed the athletes of Team Switzerland for the Special Olympics World Games Kazan 2022 in elaborate photo shoots. The exhibition was first presented at the delegation camp in Chur City Hall.
While elite athletes enjoy significant media attention at Olympic or Paralympic Games, athletes with intellectual disabilities often struggle for visibility and recognition. Special Olympics wants to change that – with powerful images that show who they are: talented, determined, and part of our society.
The traveling exhibition will be shown in various locations in the coming years and can be booked by interested parties and presented in their own spaces.
