The Special Olympics World Summer Games are more than just a sporting event
For the athletes and coaches of Special Olympics, being able to participate in the World Games is a unique experience. An adventure in which we accompany you for a good year, with the goal of optimally preparing Team Switzerland for participation.
In October 2027, up to 6,500 athletes from all over the world will meet in Chile – and you can be there!

Who can participate?
- Athletes: Minimum age 15, regular training in the sport, participation in the National Summer Games and at least one other competition
- Coaches: Experience in training and in the sport, knowledge of the Special Olympics regulations
- Availability for preparation & Games, commitment to participate in preparation camps
