Thanksgiving – Edy Hubacher and Special Olympics Say THANK YOU

Exactly four years after the start of his truly extraordinary fundraising campaign, Edy Hubacher, the former decathlete and Olympic bobsleigh champion, invited his loyal donors to a “Thanksgiving” celebration. In a familiar and cozy atmosphere, the guests were treated to delicious food and a magical supporting program: Troubadour Ruedi Stuber and magician Siderato delighted those present with beautiful song lyrics and mysterious magic tricks.

It was the moment to look back with gratitude on what has been achieved after four years: The original goal of Edy Hubacher’s birthday challenge was to collect 10,000 francs for the athletes of Special Olympics with a sponsored run. In the meantime, however, this wonderful campaign has already raised six times as much. The final amount is now 59,602 francs!!!

Special Olympics thanks all donors for their generous contributions. A huge thank you to Edy Hubacher for his passion and his tireless commitment! Last but not least, we also thank Edy’s family, who have always supported him in his fundraising campaign over the past years.
