Regional Games Nyon – a Great Sports Festival

The Regional Games in Nyon offered a sporting spectacle of the highest order! Over 400 athletes showed impressive performances in the disciplines of Petanque, Bowling, Swimming, football and Tennis. Accompanied by around 500 dedicated coaches, they outdid themselves and made the day an unforgettable experience.

The enthusiasm was palpable at every competition: whether it was the precise throw in Petanque, the exciting matches in Tennis or the emotional moments in football – the day was a celebration of sport and community.

The event culminated in a magical evening where athletes, volunteers, and partners were duly celebrated. The event was characterized by joy, team spirit, and pure pride in the achievements displayed.

The athletes were delighted by the visit of Ruth Metzler, the former Federal Councillor and candidate for the presidency of Swiss Olympic.

The event was organized by the Seven association, which has already successfully carried out many Special Olympics events with professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail. A big thank you to Seven, its president Carole Hertig, and all the helpers who made this unforgettable day possible for the athletes with their commitment. The Regional Games Nyon were not only a sporting highlight, but also a celebration of inclusion and togetherness.
