Divisioning Tournament in Sarnen

Basketball is the only sport at Special Olympics Switzerland that is played in the form of a national tournament across various leagues. To ensure it remains fair and exciting, the 24 teams are divided into the most homogeneous performance groups possible before the start of the season, during the Divisioning Tournament. Each team plays 5 matches, and all players on the teams must participate and are observed by the Sport Official. Based on the performance records from the previous season and the assessment of the Sport Official, the teams are then assigned to their respective leagues.

You can find the group assignments here for the Basketball Championship 2024 / 2025 and some pictures.
