Long-serving Members of the Athlete Commission Bid Farewell

Ticino unihockey player Giovanni Menini and track and field athlete Sascha Meier from Olten have been members of the commission since 2018. With great interest and commitment, both have represented the concerns of the athletes of Special Olympics Switzerland in this body, participated in the annual meetings and, on the occasion of the National Games, taken over the official tasks: raising the flag, lighting the Flame of Hope and reciting the Athlete’s Oath. At the last meeting of the Athletes’ Commission, the two were officially bid farewell. Special Olympics thanks them from the bottom of its heart for their great work and is pleased that they will continue to be active as athlete ambassadors.

The commission will now elect new members, whom we will be happy to introduce here after they have been appointed.
