Swimming, atmosphere, strong performances: Review of the 19th meeting in Balgach

In mid-June, the Balgach indoor swimming pool was transformed into a place full of energy and emotion: 122 athletes from 15 sports groups immersed themselves in an unforgettable sports experience at the 19th Regional Swimming Competitions of Eastern Switzerland (RSOAQ) – accompanied by their 42 coaches, numerous helpers and fans.

Highlights included not only the sporting achievements in various swimming disciplines, but also the festive opening, the exuberant evening party with tombola, DJ and dance – and of course the christening of the new mascot “Balgi”, a cheerful duck that will accompany all RSOAQ events with heart and humor in the future.

The final races on Sunday ended with great applause and many medals. The enthusiasm in the indoor swimming pool was palpable – and the cohesion was once again noticeable.

The 20th edition of the RSOAQ will take place in 2027 – we are already looking forward to the big anniversary!
