On Saturday, June 14, 2025, a very special floorball tournament took place for the 5th time in the Trimbach gymnasium: 11 teams with a total of 92 players with intellectual disabilities gathered for a sporting celebration of joy, fairness, and inclusion. The event was organized with great dedication and passion by the UHC Tigers Härkingen-Trimbach.
Early in the morning, an expectant and cheerful atmosphere filled the air – despite the summer heat that persisted throughout the day. The games were played in two categories, which ensured balanced and exciting matches. Cheers of jubilation echoed through the hall with every goal, accompanied by enthusiastic applause and many smiling faces on the sidelines.
Entertainment was provided during the breaks: music requests from the participants were played, which created a lively atmosphere and even occasional dance interludes. At lunchtime, hunger was satisfied with a barbecue – another highlight of the day that further strengthened the sense of community.
The focus was not on athletic ambition, but on the joy of movement, togetherness, and shared experiences. This was impressively lived and celebrated on this day. The UHC Tigers Härkingen-Trimbach are proud to be able to host this event every year – this is exactly what sport should look like. A day full of emotions, team spirit, and genuine zest for life – a floorball tournament that will surely remain a fond memory for all participants for a long time to come.
