Special Olympics Gommerlauf 2025 – A Cross Country Skiing dream day!
Under ideal conditions, the Special Olympics Cross Country Skiing races took place for the fourteenth time on Sunday, March 2, at the Nordic Center in Ulrichen. 22 athletes competed for medals on the perfectly groomed three-lane trails over one, three, and six kilometers.
Under a bright blue sky and in the beautiful landscape of the Obergoms, the competitions were once again a great experience. After the qualification run and final competition, everyone was treated to a very rich pasta buffet and salad.
Furthermore, the festival restaurant operated by the Disabled Sports Group Oberwallis was actively used. Thus, well-strengthened, the atmospheric award ceremonies took place.
Afterwards, the sports groups set off contentedly on their sometimes long journey home.
We thank Obergoms Tourismus AG and the Nordic Center Goms with its employees and our helpers for the excellent cooperation and tireless commitment to the cross-country skiers of Special Olympics.
