On May 4, 2024, the Kata tournament took place in Liestal.
For the first time, there was a Special Olympics category during the 3rd International Youth Kata Championship in Liestal.
We are very grateful that Budokai Liestal embraces inclusion so wholeheartedly. There were 3 Special Olympics Nage no Kata pairs, 3 groups, and 3 Unified Special Olympics Kata pairs – Ashi Waza. The Special Olympics athletes came from Judo Club Uster and Judo Club Rheintal. All Kata demonstrations were of a high standard, and we are proud of the achievements of all participants.
