Petanque is a ball game related to Boccia. The sport is also offered as Unified Sports®.
Competition Format
- Petanque is played in teams of three players, where, in the Unified Sports® format, two athletes and one Unified Partner play together.
- Petanque is very popular in Switzerland, especially in Western Switzerland.
- Unlike Boccia, Petanque is played with metal balls, which are significantly heavier compared to the plastic Boccia balls.
