Around National and World Games, they organize torch runs where, together with Special Olympics athletes, they carry the <strong>Flame of Hope<\/strong> \u2013 the symbol of courage, diversity, and community \u2013 to the opening ceremony. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To learn more about LETR, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.letr.org\/\">www.letr.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LETR in Switzerland<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Switzerland, the LETR first took place in 2014 at the National Summer Games in Bern. Since then, thanks to close cooperation with the <strong>International Police Association (IPA)<\/strong>, it has become a firm tradition. One of the most emotional moments of the Games is always when two athletes, accompanied by police officers, light the Flame of Hope.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the police forces involved, this commitment is a matter close to their hearts. They plan and organize the torch run in their free time \u2013 and thereby give the athletes visibility, appreciation, and unforgettable experiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sandro Winter, LETR Delegate of the IPA, says: <em>&#8220;Working for these impressive athletes is a very nice balance to my daily work. The authenticity of these people is touching.
