The national Judo day took place in Weinfelden on February 8, 2025.<\/p>\n\n

Successful Adaptive Judo day inspires with inclusion and technique<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

With more than 70 participants, the SJV technical course on February 8 was once again a complete success. The Adaptive Judo day offered an ideal platform to promote the principles of inclusion and shared learning. <\/p>\n\n

The morning began with a brief theoretical introduction to Adaptive Judo, specifically for coaches and referees. Patrick Schmidli led part of the referee introductory course. This was followed by a practice-oriented lesson that represented a great form of inclusion. Athletes with and without disabilities benefited together from the lessons on the techniques O Soto Gari, O Uchi Gari, Hiza Guruma, Tai Otoshi, and Kami Shiho Gatame. These were taught with great dedication by three certified Judo instructors and experts \u2013 David Sigos, Leo Held, and Cilia Evenblij. <\/p>\n\n

A special highlight was the inclusive Mix-Mix team tournament, in which participants with and without disabilities came together. The focus was not only on technique and fighting spirit, but also on social skills and the principle of Jita Kyoei \u2013 mutual prosperity for mutual benefit. The positive atmosphere and the respectful interaction with each other made this day an unforgettable experience for all involved. <\/p>\n\n

Team Violet with Emilio, Luca, Jonas, Jan, Evan and Jan Raphael won the gold medal.<\/p>\n\n

Team Rosa won silver, Team Blau the bronze.<\/p>\n\n

The Adaptive Judo Day has once again shown that Judo is a sport that connects people and overcomes barriers. A big thank you to all participants, organizers, and coaches who made this inspiring day possible! <\/p>\n\n
