The team sport is played outdoors in summer and indoors in winter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Competition Format<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"margin-top:-12px;margin-bottom:-12px\">Football at Special Olympics is played in tournament format with several games per day. A game usually lasts 2x 15 minutes.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each team has 7 or 11 players on the field, depending on the tournament format. In Switzerland, we play in the 7-a-side format in summer (outdoor) and 6-a-side in winter (indoor).  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Globally, football is one of the most popular team sports within Special Olympics. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Special Olympics Switzerland is also invited to international competitions and the World Games. We forward invitations to events abroad to sports groups that are active with us.
