How to motivate people with a disability to a healthy lifestyle?

Johnson & Johnson, Stiftung zuwebe, altra schaffhausen, and Special Olympics Switzerland have jointly developed a program called “Simply Healthy” that aims to integrate healthy nutrition and simple exercises into the daily lives of people with disabilities.

Participants should be supported according to their developmental potential and needs, so that they can strengthen their fitness and health and develop a joy for movement and sports.

How Can I Eat Healthier

Delicious food is not always healthy. For example, chocolate, ice cream, or hamburgers.

Still, you don’t want to give them up?

The right amount is important. There is a rule.

The rule is:

80% of your food should be healthy.

Of the remaining

20% you can eat whatever you want.

Which Drinks are Healthy

Sugary drinks are not healthy

Sugary drinks, for example Coca-Cola or iced tea, contain a lot of sugar.

Some sugary drinks also contain caffeine.

Are milk and fruit juices healthy?

Milk and fruit juices in moderation are healthy

Don’t drink too much of it.

Water is the healthiest. Be sure to drink plenty of water every day.

How much should I Eat

How much food do I need? There is a simple rule.

Cup your hand.

Imagine you fill your hand with pasta.

This means: When eating, you should serve yourself a handful of pasta.
